Eastern Shore

One of the best things about living in Maryland is how many fun places we can visit without going too far. We both have really loved taking day trips to explore, even when we don't know exactly what we are looking for! Yesterday was one of those days...

The Eastern Shore of Maryland is the part of the state that hangs down (most would call it a peninsula), it is surrounded by the Atlantic on one side and the Chesapeake Bay on the other. We drove out there hoping to see the sights and hopefully find a cute town to walk around and eat an early dinner. We had so much fun! We walked around a darling little town called Easton, MD and had dinner in St. Michaels, MD, which was also a fun little town with lots of cute shops and restaurants. The pictures never seem to do it justice...

We had dinner at a crab house - the kind that serves dinner by dumping whole crabs on your table and it's up to you to break them open and get the meat. Besides the fact that I'm a little squeamish about having an entire crab on the table, it's a LOT of work for a small amount of meat. Michael loves it though and the experience is fun every once in a while.
